It was a dreary November day. Damp, dull and overcast throughout with drizzle starting early afternoon. The wind was a moderate south-easterly and temperature remained unchanged at 9C all day.
The morning seawatch produced 8 Eiders, 17 Common Scoters, a Red-breasted Merganser and 2 Little Gulls passing whilst 35 Red-throated Divers and 4 Great Crested Grebes were on the sea.
Lapland Bunting was the bird of the day with 1 over the Lighthouse and a further 8 found frequenting the stubble at Northcliff where there were also 80 Tree Sparrows, 2 Corn Buntings and 138 Skylarks. Elsewhere, a lone Chiffchaff was at South Landing.
At Bempton, 2 Snow Buntings graced the cliff top.
