A much quieter day weather-wise. Winds were light from a southerly quarter and although it was dull and overcast all day there was no rain. Temperature reached 9C.
Passage at the Fog Station included a Sooty Shearwater and a Great Skua whilst ducks were also passing with 65 Eider, 5 Common Scoter, 4 Gaswall 24 Wigeon and 3 Teal. Purple Sandpipers numbered 40 and Turnstones 22.
A small influx of new birds was apparent on the Outer Head with a Blackcap, 4 Chiffchaffs, 21 Fieldfare and 3 Redwing.
At Bempton, 3 Lapland Buntings headed SE, a Snow Bunting still present along with 2 Stonechat, a Brambling and 2 Short-eared Owls while 90 Pink-footed Geese passes overhead.
