Sunny throughout, with a very light easterly breeze initially increasing in strength during the afternoon. Four Red-throated Divers, a Sandwich Tern and one Common Tern flew north during the morning’s seawatch, with six Sanderling moving south.

The discovery of an Icterine Warbler at Old Fall represented the day’s highlight. Other notable sightings included two Pink-footed Geese with the Greylag flock on the outer head, the long-staying Wigeon, a Little Ringed Plover over North Marsh and another at Thornwick Pools, six Lapwing and the discovery of another territorial Corn Bunting; the sixth such east of the Dykes.

In addition, the pond in Bempton village hosted a drake Mandarin. Nearby Buckton attracted a female Marsh Harrier and three breeding pairs of Yellow Wagtails.
