A moderate south-westerly wind and generally light overcast conditions throughout. The seawatch produced 18 Red-throated Divers heading south, one Tufted Duck, a drake Long-tailed Duck also south and 208 Little Gulls doing the same.

Thornwick Pool hosted two Little Grebes, three Dunlin and two Water Rails.

Lingering summer visitors included single Swallow and House Martin flying south, whilst a late Willow Warbler appeared in Bempton village. A pair of Stonechat was near the Lighthouse, two Mistle Thrush were on the Outer Head, with two Black Redstart lingering around the Coastguard Station. In addition, the two Snow Buntings remained around the Lighthouse/Fog Station all day.

A Little Grebe was on Buckton pond (less than annual here) with 35 Siskin south-east.
