1st June 2016

A new month, but the same old weather – very strong northerly winds, overcast and occasionally misty conditions with rain; temperatures peaked at 10 degrees C. During the seawatch, three Eider and two Sandwich Terns flew south, with three Manx Shearwaters heading north. A drake Shoveler visited Thornwick Pools, with two Great Crested Grebes off South Dykes.
