An overcast day, with a light westerly/north-westerly wind and temperatures that eventually reached four degrees C. During the seawatch, an Eider, one Goldeneye, 520 Fulmars, a Blue Fulmar, 63 Kittiwakes and two Puffins flew north.
Fields adjacent to Micklemires hosted two White-fronted Geese, with four Shelduck and 57 Teal also present. A drake Goldeneye was on the sea off South Landing, where nine Sanderling fed on the beach, and two Water Rails were located on the outer head. Passerine interest included 36 Fieldfares, a Goldcrest and one Lapland Bunting; the latter at Oceanview.
West of the Dykes, records from Buckton included a Water Rail and the long-staying Willow Tit.
