Strong north-north-west winds gradually dropped in strength during the afternoon, with heavy, squally showers featuring all day. Seawatching highlights included a Velvet Scoter, two Goldeneye, two Great Northern Divers, two Blue Fulmars, 790 Fulmars, 502 Gannets and 30 Kittiwakes flying north.
The White-fronted Goose continued its lonely vigil alongside Water Lane. Passerine interest included one Nuthatch at South Dykes and a Grey Wagtail at South Landing.
