The day began with moderate westerly winds and sunny skies, but clouds gathered and a strong north-westerly wind continued to gather strength. During the swatch, 701 Fulmars flew north, together with one Blue Fulmar, 946 Gannets and 15 Kittiwakes.
Elsewhere, the White-fronted Goose remained along Water Lane, Purple Sandpiper and a Knot visited South Landing beach and the Nuthatch continued its stay at South Dykes.
