A sunny, but cold day, with temperatures of four degrees C and a moderate westerly wind. During the seawatch, two Shelduck and five Wigeon flew south and two Eider moved north.
The White-fronted Goose lingered on Water Lane and the Water Rail remained in situ along the ‘Motorway’, with another frequenting a pond near the village. A Woodcock was located at Oceanview, whilst 48 Purple Sandpipers that fed on the shoreline below Cattlemere constituted a respectable count.
