Heavy showers persisted for much of the day, with a light to moderate south westerly wind. Four Spoonbill were present briefly at Thornwick Pools during the early morning, before flying off, with presumably three of these birds later arriving at along the coast at Filey Dams. Thorwick also hosted a Green Sandpiper and three Dunlin. 10 Whimbrel flew south over Bempton.
For the second day running, two juvenile Mediterranean Gull flew past the Fog station during the morning sea watch. Other highlights included 25 Common Scoter, 6 Manx Shearwater, 1 Whimbrel, 1 Knot, 8 Dunlin, 111 Sandwich Tern and single Arctic and Common Terns.
