The day started with moderate westerly winds, which later switched to north-westerlies and eventually overcast conditions; temperatures peaked at 15 degrees C.  A Red-throated Diver flew north, along with 11 Manx Shearwaters, two Gadwall flew south and two headed north, Five Sandwich Terns also flew past and a Common Tern moved north, whilst one Bonxie stayed offshore.

A Little Egret visited Thornwick Pools, along with a Grey Heron and Little Ringed Plover. A Grasshopper Warbler was singing near Oceanview, whilst 19 Siskin were recorded, mainly heading west over the Outer Head.
