A light westerly wind initially, with a northerly later establishing during a day of cold sunshine. A total of 31 Red-throated Divers flew south, together with one Great Northern Diver, a Red-necked Grebe, nine Whooper Swans, 150 Pink-footed Geese, 13 dark-bellied Brent Geese, 62 Common Scoters, two Velvet Scoter, two Goldeneye, 74 Little Gulls, and three Little Auks.
Twenty-seven Golden Plover and a Twite flew over the Outer Head, whilst Thornwick Pool hosted a Mute Swan, 25 Teal, a Little Grebe and three Water Rails, with two Stonechats in the nearby cliff top brambles.
The Water Pipit remained on the beach at South Landing.
