29th May 2016

It was an overcast and cold day, with an increasingly strong northerly wind. A pair of Garganey gave great views at Thornwick Pools all day, with a drake Teal also present there. A juvenile/first-summer Glaucous Gull rested on the Golf Course early morning, whilst a Short-eared Owl hunted the Gorse Field before heading west. Passerine migrants included a Garden Warbler and a Spotted Flycatcher.

West of the Dykes, the Little Egret remained on Buckton Pond.
