Light north-easterly winds and increasingly overcast skies, with fog arriving from early afternoon; temperatures reached 20 degrees C. Seawatch highlights included two Teal, 98 Common Scoters, 337 Oystercatchers, ten Knot, seven Dunlin, ten Redshank, 54 Sandwich Terns and two Arctic Skuas flying south, with five Arctic Terns moving north. Thornwick Pools proved attractive to an array of waders: two Wood Sandpipers, six Green Sandpipers, four Common Sandpipers, a juvenile Little Ringed Plover, a Greenshank, one Redshank, a Snipe and eight Dunlin; another Green Sandpiper overflew Oceanview. However, the most notable sighting related to a Quail flushed from a path south of the Lighthouse.
