It was an overcast morning with a light easterly breeze, followed by prolonged sunny intervals during the afternoon. During the seawatch, 28 Common Scoter, a Red-throated Diver, seven Manx Shearwaters and seven Sandwich Terns moved north.
Amongst a scattering of migrants a male Red-breasted Flycatcher in the Outer Head gardens stood out, whilst a male Red-backed Shrike frequented South Landing. Other records included a Jay, two Garden Warblers, three Spotted Flycatchers, a Wheatear, two Yellow Wagtails, one Redwing and a Lesser Redpoll. The Nuthatch remained in residence at South Dykes.
