It was an overcast morning, with brighter spells later and light/moderate northerly winds. Following yesterday’s blow, birds were re-orientating back north, including 23 Teal, two Tufted Duck, 381 Common Scoter, two Sooty Shearwaters, 167 Manx Shearwaters, three Bar-tailed Godwit, three Whimbrel, nine Sanderling, 372 Sandwich Terns, four Common Terns, five Arctic Terns and two Bonxies; three Arctic Skuas were also logged. Wader records included single Green Sandpiper and Greenshank.

West of the Dykes, a Great Northern Diver flew south-east at Bempton Cliffs RSPB.
