There were moderate westerly winds and sunny intervals, with increasing levels of cloud in the afternoon. Seawatching highlights included 11 Manx Shearwaters, five Little Gulls, four Mediterranean Gulls, 27 Sandwich Terns, 33 Common Terns, six Arctic Terns and three Bonxies flying north, whilst eight Arctic Skuas moved south and two Little Egrets were in residence. 

Sightings elsewhere included two Greenshank, a Grey Wagtail and a Spotted Flycatcher. 

Bempton Cliffs RSPB attracted a Little Egret, one Marsh Harrier, five Spotted Flycatchers and 220 Linnets.
