Another very warm, sunny day with temperatures reaching 21 degrees C in a moderate south-easterly wind. A Little Egret flew over Lighthouse Road before dropping onto North Marsh. Thornwick Pools attracted a Grey Heron, Green Sandpiper, the year’s first Wood Sandpiper and two Little Ringed Plovers, whilst single Greenshank, another Green Sandpiper, one Whimbrel and two Curlew flew south. The breeding White Wagtail remained in residence near the Lighthouse and a Grey Wagtail overflew Thornwick Pools.
Buckton Pond hosted a Greenshank and two Green Sandpipers.
