Sunny intervals, occasional showers in the morning, blustery westerlies and a high of 21 degrees C. Thousands of Common Terns again fed off the South Cliffs, with the feeding flock attracting six juvenile Long-tailed Skuas, a minimum of 19 Arctic Skuas, 206 Little Gulls and eight Black Terns. Three Caspian Gulls and three Sooty Shearwaters added further interest, as did the resident Thresher Shark. Thornwick Pools attracted a Pintail, drake Mandarin, 25 Teal and a Little Egret. A skein of 22 Pink-footed Geese flew south over the outer head, as did a Marsh Harrier. Sightings from Oceanview included single Hobby and Swift.
