A day largely consisting of sunshine and light southerlies. A single Manx Shearwater north and two Sandwich Tern south were noted on the morning’s seawatch.
A Wood Sandpiper overflew the headland; two Corn Bunting frequented the lighthouse grassland as well as a Short-eared Owl there. An immature male Marsh Harrier toured the Outer Head; a Little Egret briefly visited Northcliff Marsh and a Grasshopper Warbler was again reeling at Thornwick Pools early morning.
