Initially overcast, with brief showers and a moderate south-easterly wind; later sunny intervals and a strong south-westerly wind. During the seawatch, eight Manx Shearwaters flew north (and eight south), nine Eiders also flew north, along with 214 Common Scoters. There was an appreciable increase in waders moving south, including ten Oystercatcher, 54 Knot, 26 Dunlin, 56 Whimbrel, 14 Redshank and two Turnstones. A couple each of Arctic Skua and Bonxie were recorded, together with a Little Gull that flew south and 116 Sandwich and two Common Terns that moved north.

Thornwick Pools hosted a Grey Heron, one Lapwing, six Dunlin and a Yellow Wagtail. Elsewhere, an adult Yellow-legged Gull was on the Golf Course.

A Hobby overflew Bempton RSPB, where 500 Swifts headed over and five Whimbrel flew south-west and a creamcown Marsh Harrier frequented the cliff top at Buckton.
