After a foggy start, a generally overcast day, with periods of mist drifted onshore by a northerly wind. Single Shelduck, Wigeon and Tufted Duck were present, along with a Golden Plover, single Grey Plover flying south over the headland and one Little Ringed Plover. Passerine migrants involved two Willow Warblers, a Reed Warbler (RSPB Bempton Cliffs), four Spotted Flycatchers (including one at RSPB Bempton Cliffs) and no fewer than 43 Siskin.
