After a misty, damp start, the skies brightened late morning leading to a warm, sunny afternoon; light easterly winds gradually strengthened after lunch.
Wildfowl interest included two Teal, two Tufted Ducks, a pair of Shoveler, five Eider, a Little Grebe, single Golden Plover, Ringed Plover, Little Ringed Plover and three Curlew. Migrant passerines included single ‘out of breeding habitat’ Reed Warbler and Willow Warbler, two Marsh Warblers on the north side of the headland, the singing Greenish Warbler at Old Fall for its second day, a Wheatear, three Stonechat, a Crossbill and 26 Siskin.
