An overcast day, with gale force southerly winds and rain during the afternoon; temperatures reached five degrees C. During the seawatch, 14 Red-throated Divers flew south, 630 Gannets, tens of thousands of Guillemots and thousands of Razorbills flew past the Fog Station; the latter showing an appreciable increase over recent weeks. In addition, a Blue Fulmar lingered offshore.

The Jack Snipe continued its vigil at Thornwick Pools. A Treecreeper in the car-park at South Dykes showed some features of the Northern subspecies, whilst at least one Nuthatch was also present there.
