Moderate south-easterly winds, overcast skies and persistent, but mainly light rain featured throughout the day. During a morning seawatch at North Landing, eight Eider flew north, with 63 Common Scoter and 369 Puffins heading south.
The Thornwick area attracted three Tufted Ducks, a Little Grebe and a Little Ringed Plover, whilst a Hobby was seen nearby; another Hobby frequented airspace at Speeton. Passerine migrants were limited to a Reed Warbler at RSPB Bempton Cliffs, with four Siskin and a Corn Bunting on the outer head.
