The day started with fog which was slow to clear, with misty conditions prevailing until the early afternoon, when sunshine eventually broke through; winds remained light and from the south. Seawatching highlights included two Wigeon flying south, 46 Teal and 117 Common Scoter north, three Sooty Shearwaters, 151 Oystercatchers and a Greenshank south, two Grey Plovers north, a juvenile Yellow-legged Gull, four Arctic Skuas and a Long-tailed Skua flying south, with 251 Sandwich Terns and 306 Common Terns heading north.
A Little Egret was on the rocks below Old Fall, whilst Thornwick Pools hosted four Ringed Plovers, nine Dunlin, three Greenshank and a Redshank.
