Light westerly winds remained throughout, with sunny intervals and temperatures reached 23 degrees C. Seawatching highlights included 53 Manx Shearwaters flying north, ten Teal and eight Shelduck heading south, 204 Common Scoters moving north (and 87 south), six Whimbrel south, an Arctic Skua north, 77 Sandwich Terns, eight Common Terns and three Arctic Terns all flying north. A Bonxie remained offshore, whilst three juvenile Yellow-legged Gulls were noted between North Dykes and Sewerby. An adult Mediterranean Gull also appeared at the latter site.
The White Wagtail was again present near the Lighthouse and two Siskins were on the Outer Head, with another on the cliff top at Bempton.
