Moderate/strong westerly winds lasted throughout the day, with sunny intervals and temperatures that reached 20 degrees C. Seawatch highlights included eight Manx Shearwaters, a Grey Heron, 90 Common Scoter, three Arctic Skuas and a Bonxie, all flying south. A juvenile Yellow-legged Gull moved north, along with 11 Sandwich Terns and two Arctic Terns. Two Golden Plovers overflew the Headland.
Thornwick Pool attracted two Little Egrets and a juvenile Yellow Wagtail. Further passerine interest included a Grey Wagtail in the village, a Siskin at Oceanview and a juvenile Willow Warbler at Thornwick; the first such migrant. Two more Siskins were in the Dell at Buckton.
