A southbound Cory’s Shearwater at 1230hrs represented the highlight of a seawatch that also recorded eight Whimbrel, three juvenile Mediterranean Gulls, two juvenile Caspian Gulls, four Arctic Skuas, four Sooty Shearwaters and two Minke Whales. Thornwick Pools hosted a Bar-tailed Godwit, a Greenshank, one Green Sandpiper, the juvenile Wood Sandpiper and three Dunlin. Grounded migrants on the outer head included a Short-eared Owl, one Quail, a Cuckoo, 17 Willow Warblers, a Reed Warbler and two Spotted Flycatchers.

Sightings from Buckton included two Quail, two Marsh Harriers, a Hobby, one Redstart and a Spotted Flycatcher. Nearby, Bempton attracted another two Quail and a fly-over Green Sandpiper.
