Sunny intervals, blustery westerly winds and a high of 23 degrees C. A Sooty Shearwater provided the highlight of the morning seawatch. Nearby, the Cattlemere shoreline attracted a juvenile Caspian Gull, a Whimbrel and three Knot.

The Thornwick area hosted 46 Tufted Ducks, two Little Grebes, two Dunlin and a Wood Sandpiper, while a Hobby flew west over the village. Two Quail called from RSPB Bempton Cliffs, with another on the outer head near Old Fall.
