Weather-wise it was a thoroughly miserable day. It seemed as though it didn’t get properly light all day and steady rain persisted throughout daylight hours pushed on by a moderate northerly breeze. Temperatures ranged between 8 and 9C.
Seawatching at the Fog Station during the morning saw 7 Common Scoters and 40 Red-throated Divers heading south with 8 of the latter going in the reverse direction.
Due to the weather birding elsewhere was limited with nothing of note reported.
