The weather featured moderate/strong south-easterly winds, sunny intervals and temperatures that eventually five degrees C. During the seawatch, ten Wigeon, three Eider and 68 Cormorants flew past the Fog Station. In addition, 11 Pintail flew east past South Landing. A Woodcock was also flushed from the cliff top at the latter location, 34 Redwing were located, whilst four Lapland Buntings frequented fields between Thornwick and North Dykes.
West of the Dykes, Sewerby Hall hosted 50 Redwing.
