The weather consisted of light south-east winds and prolonged sunny spells, with temperatures reaching five degrees C. During the seawatch, single Shelduck and Goldeneye flew south, with an adult Mediterranean Gull heading north.
Wildfowl on the headland included a Pink-footed Goose, 27 Wigeon and 64 Teal. Wader interest was provided by five Jack Snipe and 13 Snipe, whilst a first-winter Glaucous Gull visited Stainforth’s Flash. Winter thrushes continue to be in above average numbers for the time of year, with 156 Fieldfare and 27 Fieldfare present. A single Snow Bunting and five Lapland Buntings were also located near North Dykes.
