A dry, relativley sunny day with a strengthening south westerly wind. The morning sea watch saw an increase in Manx Shearwater numbres than of late, with 22 birds flying north and 4 south. Though duck and wader numbers were down on the previous day, single Whimbrel, Sanderling and 4 Dunlin were logged. 48 Sandwich and a single Arctic Tern also flew past.
Thornwick pools continued to play host to 2 Green Sandpiper, a Little ringed Plover and 6 Dunlin, whilst a drake Shovler was new in. There was a notable count of 115 House Martin. A Marsh Harrier flew past Buckton and several White-letter Hairstreak were at South Dykes.
