Cloudless skies, light easterlies and the temperature rose to 23°C.

The morning seawatch was productive with six Shelduck, 158 Common Scoter, a Whimbrel, an adult Mediterranean Gull, an Arctic Skua and four Manx Shearwaters. Forty Common Scoter also flew north off Bempton Cliffs RSPB.

Up to four Little Egrets were around the Outer Head along with two Cuckoos, two singing Quail and a Green Sandpiper at Thornwick Pools.
