Sunny, with a moderate onshore wind developing that resulted in temperatures peaking at 22 degrees C. Seawatching was rewarded with an Arctic Tern, 18 Common Terns, 22 Sandwich Terns and a juvenile Mediterranean Gull all flying north, while a Minke Whale fed offshore. Additional records from the outer head included four Eiders, a Wood Sandpiper (Thornwick Pools), two juvenile Caspian Gulls (Cattlemere), another juvenile Mediterranean Gull (South Landing), a Red Kite, one Quail, 12 Willow Warblers, a Grey Wagtail and four Yellow Wagtails.

Two Quail were calling at RSPB Bempton Cliffs, where sightings included a Hobby, 16 Willow Warblers, 17 Corn Buntings and a Minke Whale. Three Clouded Yellow butterflies were also present on the reserve.
