Seawatch highlights included two Red-breasted Mergansers, a juvenile Long-tailed Skua, 95 Little Gulls and two Mediterranean Gulls. Better still, a Balearic Shearwater lingered off Cattlemere. A Jay flew west over Crofts Hill, while a small arrival of Chiffchaffs, Blackcap and Goldcrest took place at RSPB Bempton Cliffs and the outer head mid-afternoon.
