A moderate easterly wind established during a largely sunny day with temperatures reaching 22 degrees C. Seawatch highlights included four Teal, 78 Common Scoters, 99 Oystercatchers, four Arctic Terns, 45 Common Terns, 534 Sandwich Terns, four Mediterranean Gulls, two juvenile Caspian Gulls, two juvenile Yellow-legged Gulls and an Arctic Skua. Nearby, five juvenile Caspian Gulls and two juvenile Yellow-legged Gulls dropped onto Cattlemere, while five Mediterranean Gulls were shared between South Landing/Hartendale and Thornwick Pools.
Wader interest included two Greenshank and two Green Sandpipers, while three Quail remained in residence on the outer head. The switch to easterlies also resulted in the arrival of single Reed Warbler, Pied Flycatcher, Wheatear and Redstart.
