A relatively overcast day, with light/moderate south-westerly winds. During the seawatch, 28 Common Scoters and ten Manx Shearwaters flew north, a Great Crested Grebe and 11 Dunlin moved south. The ‘autumn’s’ first Pomarine Skua, an immature, also flew south, whilst 34 Sandwich Terns went north and three Common Terns moved in the opposite direction.

Thornwick Pools attracted 24 Dunlin, a Whimbrel, three Green Sandpipers and a Redshank.

West of the Dykes, a juvenile Yellow-legged Gull was again present at Bempton Cliffs RSPB.
