Sunny intervals and south-westerly winds were the order of the day, with temperatures reaching 19 degrees C. Seawatching highlights included 11 Manx Shearwaters flying north, 20 Whimbrel, 30 Knot and an Arctic Skua moving south, with 27 Sandwich Terns, 47 Common Terns and 23 Arctic Terns also heading north.

Another Arctic Tern visited Thornwick Pools which attracted seven Dunlin, whilst a Hobby also flew over the pools. Passerine interest included a Treecreeper, unusually in the outer head gardens. 

Sightings from Bempton included a Marsh Harrier, one Bonxie, a Cuckoo, two Wheatears and nine Yellow Wagtails. Buckton also attracted a Cuckoo.
