An overcast day, with a light south-west wind and temperatures reaching eight degrees C. During the morning’s seawatch, a Shelduck, two Gadwall, 20 Wigeon, nine Mallard and 13 Teal flew south, with 13 Eider heading in the opposite direction; 12 Lapwing also flew south, whilst a Blackbird at the Fog Station appeared to come in off the sea. Wildfowl interest on the headland included seven Whooper Swans, one Pink-footed Goose and the Russian White-fronted Goose
