16th June 2020

An overcast day, with mist drifting ashore at times due to a light easterly breeze; temperatures reached 15 degrees C. The day’s undoubted highlight related to a Kingfisher ringed at Oceanview; the first ever caught on the headland. A Hobby over North Landing was also of interest, continuing the run of almost daily sightings over recent weeks.

Elsewhere, a Golden Plover flew north-west over RSPB Bempton Cliffs, where a juvenile Stonechat remained.
