A light westerly wind backed to easterly by late morning.  There was unbroken sunshine throughout the day with temperatures peaking at 16°C.  Seawatching highlights included 38 Common Scoter, a Red-throated Diver, a Ringed Plover, a Glaucous Gull and 21 Sandwich Terns moving north while a single Whimbrel flew south.

Three Dunlin and two Little Ringed Plover were at Thornwick Pools.  Early morning saw an immature male Marsh Harrier while in the evening a Short-eared Owl quartered the Outer Head.

Passerine migrants included a Spotted Flycatcher, 2 Garden Warblers, a Lesser Whitethroat, 3 Yellow Wagtails, a White Wagtail and 10 Wheatears.
