Sunny throughout, with a light/moderate south-easterly wind and maximum of 23 degrees C. An adult Roseate Tern flew north during a morning seawatch that also featured two Purple Sandpipers, eight Arctic Terns, 78 Common Terns, 290 Sandwich Terns, a Black Tern, three Arctic Skuas and a Bonxie. Five juvenile Caspian Gulls and a juvenile Yellow-legged Gull flew south in the evening. Elsewhere, nine Black-tailed Godwits and a Common Sandpiper dropped onto Thornwick Pools. A Common Sandpiper was on South Landing beach and a Greenshank flew south over the village.

A Pied Flycatcher at RSPB Bempton Cliffs was new, while single Marsh Harrier and Hobby were recorded at nearby Buckton.
