Light/moderate south-easterly winds were a constant during a day that featured showers and brighter spells. During the seawatch, 69 Common Scoters, 30 Manx Shearwaters, a Sooty Shearwater (the first since an unusual mid-winter record on 14th January), 35 Oystercatchers, 20 Whimbrel, 13 Redshank, 27 Knot, five Sanderling, 12 Little Gulls, three Common Terns and two Bonxies all flew south. Six Arctic Skuas were logged, whilst 277 Sandwich Terns moved north.
Thornwick Pools attracted a Green Sandpiper, five Dunlin and a Redshank. West of the Dykes, Buckton Pond hosted two Common Sandpipers and a Green Sandpiper.
