A day of light westerly winds and bright skies until increasing cloud established in the afternoon. During the seawatch, two Eider, two Red-breasted Mergansers, 77 Manx Shearwaters and 277 Puffins flew north, with 42 Sandwich Terns moving south.
A Short-eared Owl was located in the Gorse Field late on, whilst two Garden Warblers represented the most interesting passerine record.
West of the Dykes, the Black-browed Albatross was again reported from Bempton Cliffs RSPB c. 0800hrs only; it was last seen flying back out to sea. A Short-eared Owl was also seen at the reserve.
