It was an overcast day, with moderate westerly winds. After the spring-like weather of recent days, changing conditions had a dramatic effect. Even the auks had largely departed from the cliffs, with low hundreds present instead of many thousands. The only summer migrant remaining was a single Chiffchaff, with a handful of Goldcrests also present.
