Very light winds throughout a day that began with cloudier skies before prolonged sunny intervals featured; temperatures reached 18 degrees C. The seemingly resident Thresher Shark breached twice off the Fog Station in the morning, with eight Little Gulls, 16 Arctic Skuas, two Bonxies and 27 Red-throated Divers also recorded.
Nine Brent Geese and 14 Pink-footed Geese flew south past the outer head, while a juvenile Curlew Sandpiper, four Dunlin, one Knot and 97 Turnstones fed on the shore at Cattlemere. Nearby, a Hobby flew past the Lighthouse. A Short-eared Owl flew west over South Landing early morning, where four Grey Wagtails also headed south-west. Additional passerine interest on the outer head included a Whinchat, four Wheatear and five Yellow Wagtails.
Sightings from RSPB Bempton Cliffs included eight Pink-footed Geese moving south-east, a Little Owl and three Ravens.
