A sunny day, with a light west-north-westerly wind and a high of six degrees C. The morning seawatch was quiet, although a first calendar-year Yellow-legged Gull was notable. Three Whooper Swans again roosted on North Marsh before flying inland to feed. A total of 154 Teal were shared between Thornwick Pools/North Marsh, with 46 Wigeon also at the former site. A trickle of winter thrushes continued to arrive, with 11 Fieldfare and two Redwing moving west from the outer head.
