A warm sunny day, with light east-south-easterly winds and temperatures reaching 18 degrees C. Birds on the move included five Shelduck, 27 Curlew, one Whimbrel, a Green Sandpiper and 452 Swifts. However, more notable still were 195 Siskins that flew south during the morning, with seven Crossbills also moving in the same direction along the Dykes. Ten species of Odonata included two Red-veined Darters.
